Tramping NZ

I went tramping this weekend with a bunch of the youth from church - through the Karangahake Gorge to Waitawheta, and we tramped up the old train tracks that had been laid over 100 years ago to cart Kauri trees out of the bush.

It was such a beautiful part of the country. Made me so thankful to be able to live here - and I felt so spoilt! We live surrounded by such amazingness that we take for granted.

So although I didn't get any drawing done this weekend I thought I would share with you some of the gorgeousness of our country.

The one above was the view from the hut we stayed at in the morning.

What a gorgeous country.
I'm so thankful that God gave us so much diversity and beauty in this world.

Soft

And slightly wonky - but hey, nobody is symmetrical right?

Busy times...

Wow life has been so busy! Not many updates recently - but I did get to spend some of the weekend down at the Hamilton Armageddon with my lovely co-worker Siobhan - and did a few drawings that I can share with you.

This second one I was drawing off a reference picture (10 points to anyone who recognises it) and she turned out a lot more busty than I intended.
Whoops.
It may also be the angle of the picture...
And that arm - ugh. Apologies for that everyone.
I have a full figure shot that I will try and finish one of these days and hopefully will put up (which is also more modest and accurate to the reference).

Thanks to Shivonny for all the singing we did on the way home from Hamilton in the car. Disney songs are the best. I had a sore throat afterwards, but it was worth it. :)
